Goods and food donations.

We also welcome useful donations for Dorothy's Rainbow Thrift Store and the Food Shelf.

Thrift Store goods

We are happy to accept donations of gently used clothing, outerwear, shoes, small appliances, books, jewelry, dishes, decorations, and cookware. Items should be clean, usable, and in working order.

Our biggest constraint is size, since display space is limited. Donations are accepted in the bins near the shed behind the store during store hours until one hour before closing. This gives volunteers time to receive donations properly and still close the store on time. Please do not drop items off outside of donation hours.

Food Shelf donations

We are always working with local businesses to find and use rescue food sources for good products that would otherwise be discarded. We also accept locally grown produce and eggs.

All donated food should be in good shape, generally still in date, and the kind of food you would eat yourself. We also accept and distribute some non-food items, including paper goods, pet food, child and adult diapers, and sanitary products.

If you have items like these to donate, please stop in during Food Shelf operating hours. You can also contact a board member with questions.
