Volunteers make the difference. Garrison Area Caregivers is run by volunteers, and all operations labor at both Dorothy's Rainbow Food Shelf and Dorothy's Rainbow Thrift Store is volunteer-powered. We can always use your help.

Occasionally we may send a request for help with a specific event or time slot that is short-handed. Come and help. It is a great way to get involved, meet people, and build community with others who share the common goal of doing good locally.

Open Published Volunteer CalendarFood Shelf service runs Tuesdays from 1:00-5:00 pm. Additional signup slots are available for volunteers to help unload and stock truck deliveries. Use Signup.com to see open spots and choose a shift.
Open Food Shelf Volunteer CalendarDorothy's Rainbow Thrift Store is open Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. Additional time slots are available to help sort, wash, price, and stock shelves on Tuesdays when the store is not open.
Open Thrift Store Volunteer CalendarWe are always looking for people to volunteer in other ways too, including maintenance and repairs, serving on the board, or running to town for a specific food order when something is out of stock.
